Blue Yeti USB Mic hearing monitoring echo [SOLVED]

I have just purchased a Blue Yeti. OS is windows 8.1. Latest Audacity version. PC HP Envy 700-060ea Desktop Latest model. The Yeti USB mic has a headphone audio interface, which outputs zero-latency monitoring. Well that's what it says on the tin. My computer sees the Yeti so does audacity and pc yet I have a delay in the headphones whilst monitoring a recording. The PC speakers/internal mic settings are disabled. However still the issue exists. I played around with Yeti gain and volume control but all to no avail. Every thing under Audacity Tracks is Un Ticked. Any ideas would be most welcome.

Audacity may be doing that by accident.

Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > ONLY select overdub. Nothing else.

Thanks. I tried it but doesn't make any difference. Still suffering with a delay and echo.

What is that you hear late in the headphones output of Yeti? Your singing or the background you are singing to?

Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-click over the Yeti then choose "Properties". Then click the "Listen" tab. Are you sending the input back to the Yeti or anywhere else?

BLUE YETI - ZERO LATENCY
OK, despite all the misinformation out there on the web, this is how to get zero-latency monitoring with your Blue Yeti microphone. My OS system is Windows 8.1. Right click on speaker icon in system tray bottom RH corner of screen. Select Recording Devices. Go to Blue Yeti Mic (should be default). Right click and select Properties. Disable "listen to this device" in the Listen tab.
Then Right Click again on Speaker in system tray. Select Playback Devices. Then select Speakers: Yeti Stereo Microphone. Right Click Properties and in Levels tab unmute your microphone in the Levels tab. If you are using Audacity to record a voice track using Yeti, then under the Transport tab nothing needs to be ticked at that stage. At this point you should be monitoring through your Head Phones having been plugged into the Blue Yeti socket.

I was hearing with echo and delay the voice track being recorded. See below Now Sorted.

Then that was apparently because you had "Listen" turned on, as I suggested. I wouldn't expect that to be on by default.

Thanks for giving the steps to unmute the microphone playback for monitoring. The Manual for Yeti suggests this but it isn't ideally clear about the exact window to use. I'll post the link to its Manual and mark this "[SOLVED]".
